Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 March 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the V2Events platform at v2events.uk ("the Platform"), operated by Version 2 Events Ltd, registered in England and Wales ("V2E", "we", "our", "us").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use V2Events. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. Accounts
Account registration and authentication is managed through our provider, Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that violate these Terms.
4. Ticket Purchases
4.1 Contract of Sale
When you purchase a ticket through V2Events, you enter into a contract with the event organiser (the "Partner"). V2E acts as an intermediary platform facilitating the transaction. The event organiser is responsible for delivering the event as described.
4.2 Pricing and Fees
All ticket prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include any applicable V2E platform fees. The total price payable will be clearly displayed before you confirm your purchase. V2E charges a platform fee of £0.50 plus 4% per ticket, which may be included in the ticket price or added as a separate service charge depending on the organiser's settings.
4.3 Payment
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. V2E does not store your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you authorise Stripe to charge the displayed amount.
4.4 Confirmation
Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket details and a unique QR code. This email serves as your ticket — please retain it.
4.5 No Cooling-Off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Order and Cancellation) Regulations 2013, the 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts does not apply to tickets for leisure events taking place on a specific date (Regulation 28(1)(h)). Accordingly, all ticket sales are final once confirmed, subject to any refund policy set by the event organiser.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
5.1 Refunds
Refund availability is determined by the event organiser on a per-event basis. Where refunds are enabled, you may request a refund through your V2E account. Refund requests are reviewed by the event organiser. For full details, please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5.2 Non-Refundable Fees
For Partner events, the V2E platform fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. Refunded amounts will be the ticket face value minus the V2E platform fee.
For V2E Original events, the V2E platform fee is refunded. Only Stripe payment processing fees (approximately 1.5% + 20p) are non-refundable.
5.3 Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled by the organiser, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price (excluding V2E platform fees). You will be notified by email if an event you have tickets for is cancelled. Refunds for cancelled events will be processed within 7 business days. If the organiser is unable to process the refund within this time, V2E may intervene to facilitate the refund.
6. Partner (Event Organiser) Terms
6.1 Eligibility
To list events on V2E, you must apply for a Partner account and be approved by our team. You must provide accurate organisation details and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
6.2 Fees
V2E charges a platform fee of £0.50 + 4% per ticket sold. In addition, Stripe processing fees of approximately 1.5% + 20p per transaction are absorbed by V2E and are included in the platform fee. Partners may choose to pass the V2E fee on to the buyer or absorb it themselves.
6.3 Payouts
Partner payouts are processed via Stripe Connect. Partners must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. Payout timing is determined by Stripe's standard payout schedule.
6.4 Event Responsibilities
Partners are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of event listings (descriptions, dates, venues, images)
- Delivering the event as described
- Obtaining all necessary licences and permits (including premises licences under the Licensing Act 2003 for events serving alcohol)
- Complying with health and safety regulations
- Managing guest lists and check-in processes
- Handling refund requests according to their stated refund policy
6.5 Event Cancellation by Partners
If a Partner cancels an event, they are responsible for refunding all ticket holders the ticket face value (excluding V2E platform fees). V2E will facilitate this process. If the Partner's Stripe balance is insufficient, V2E will notify the Partner and allow 7 business days for the Partner to arrange the refunds. Failure to do so may result in an automatic charge to the Partner's connected payment method.
6.6 Content
Partners retain ownership of their event content. By listing on V2E, Partners grant V2E a non-exclusive licence to display event information on the Platform and in promotional materials.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Scrape or harvest data from the Platform without permission
- Resell tickets at a price higher than the original purchase price
- Create fraudulent events or misleading listings
- Impersonate another person or organisation
8. Intellectual Property
The V2Events name, logo, design, and all original content on the Platform are the intellectual property of Version 2 Events Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
V2E acts as an intermediary platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- V2E is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of events listed by Partners.
- V2E is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the cancellation, postponement, or alteration of events by Partners.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to V2E in platform fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, intellectual property, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
